Dr. Moe graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S., AFAAID) with Perio Honors from NYU College of Dentistry. As an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Dr. Moe has demonstrated advanced training, clinical proficiency, and a strong commitment to excellence in implant dentistry. This distinction places him among a select group of dentists who have met the Academy’s rigorous standards in implant diagnosis, surgical techniques, and restorative care.
Dr. Mohit Modgil—affectionately known as Dr. Moe—also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Engineering from Stony Brook University. While in his fourth year at NYUCD, he pursued a “Mini Residency at Odyssey House” in Harlem, providing pro bono dental services to the underserved community for one year.
After graduating from NYUCD, Dr. Moe completed a one-year residency at Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH). During his training at SBUH, he further expanded his expertise in dentistry by working in the O.R. to provide full-mouth rehabilitative services to both pediatric and developmentally disabled patients under general anesthesia. He also actively pursues continuing education each year to stay current with evidence-based, advanced, and innovative dental techniques.
Dr. Moe combines his extensive dental knowledge with his engineering background to approach treatment planning with long-term, comprehensive vision. His engineering mindset helps him anticipate potential complications and prepare thoroughly before performing any procedure.
Dedicated to delivering quality care, Dr. Moe ensures that every treatment is explained in detail so patients understand the rationale behind the recommended procedures. He believes in partnering with his patients and follows an interactive, collaborative approach to treatment planning. Dental needs, treatment options, and their respective pros, cons, limitations, and potential complications are always discussed thoroughly.
Outside the office, Dr. Moe enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart—now his wife—and their two young sons. He resides in Port Jefferson Station and enjoys reading scientific journals, reviewing the latest medical research, and taking continuing education courses to stay updated on the newest developments in both dental and medical fields.
